1. Introduction
Welcome to find.fit ("we," "our," or "us"). find.fit is a two-sided marketplace platform that connects verified sports coaches with consumers (parents and individuals) seeking coaching services in Singapore.
By accessing or using the find.fit platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and find.fit. By creating an account, making a purchase, or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to register as a coach or make purchases on our platform. If you are purchasing coaching services for a minor (under 18 years of age), you represent that you are the legal guardian and have authority to consent on behalf of the minor.
4. Coach Verification & Registration
All coaches must complete our 5-Point Verification Process before being approved to offer services on the platform. This includes:
- Government-issued ID (Singapore NRIC, passport, or employment pass)
- Child-safety training certificate (e.g., Safe Sport or equivalent)
- First-aid/CPR certificate from a recognized provider
- Professional coaching credentials or association membership
- Proof of active liability insurance covering coaching activities
Coaches must acknowledge our Code of Conduct for working with minors during registration. All verification documents must be current and valid. Expired certifications will result in automatic badge removal and may affect profile visibility.
We typically review applications within 48 hours. We reserve the right to reject any application at our sole discretion.
5. Protected Payments System
find.fit operates a Protected Payments system where consumer payments are held by find.fit and released to coaches progressively as sessions are completed and confirmed.
5.1 For Consumers
When you purchase a coaching package, payment is processed immediately via Stripe (card or PayNow). Funds are held by find.fit in a protected state until each session is marked as complete by the coach and confirmed by you (or auto-confirmed after 48 hours if no response is received).
5.2 For Coaches
After delivering a session, you mark it as complete. The consumer has 48 hours to confirm or dispute. If no action is taken, the session is automatically confirmed, and funds are released. Released funds are paid out weekly to your registered bank account, minus the platform commission.
5.3 Dispute Window
Consumers have a 7-day contest window after auto-confirmation to open a dispute. If a dispute is opened within this period, funds are placed on hold pending resolution. We aim to resolve all disputes within 48 hours.
6. Pricing & Commission
Coaches set their own pricing for individual sessions, 5-session packages, and 10-session packages. find.fit charges a 15% platform commission on all completed and confirmed sessions to cover payment processing, marketing, customer support, and platform operations.
The commission rate is subject to change with 30 days' notice to coaches.
7. Package Validity & Expiry
All coaching packages are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Consumers will receive expiry warning notifications via WhatsApp at 15, 7, 3, and 1 days before expiry.
Unused sessions after the expiry date are forfeited and non-refundable unless otherwise agreed between the coach and consumer, or required by applicable law.
8. Purchases for Minors
When purchasing coaching services for a minor (under 18 years of age), you must provide:
- Your full name as legal guardian
- Emergency contact information
- Waiver and consent acknowledgment with timestamp
By completing the purchase, you certify that you are the legal guardian with authority to consent to the coaching services on behalf of the minor.
9. WhatsApp Communication
Post-purchase operations, including booking confirmations, session tracking, status updates, review requests, and dispute flows, are conducted via WhatsApp Business API.
By providing your WhatsApp number at checkout, you consent to receive transactional and service-related messages. You can opt out at any time, but this may affect your ability to receive important booking and payment updates.
Security Notice: We will never ask for OTP codes or request payment over WhatsApp chat. All payments are processed securely through our web platform.
10. Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods via Stripe:
- Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayNow (Singapore)
Installment payment options are not currently available. All package purchases must be paid in full at the time of booking.
11. Refund Policy
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis through our dispute resolution process. If you believe a session was not delivered as promised, you may open a dispute within 7 days of the session's auto-confirmation.
Refunds for unused sessions within valid packages may be considered at the coach's discretion or as required by Singapore consumer protection laws.
12. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information during registration or verification
- Circumvent the platform to arrange direct payments with coaches/consumers
- Upload fraudulent or expired verification documents
- Engage in harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct
- Attempt to manipulate reviews or ratings
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Share account credentials with third parties
13. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion. Coaches may have their profiles hidden or removed if verification documents expire or become invalid.
Upon termination, you remain responsible for any outstanding obligations, and any pending payouts may be withheld pending investigation.
14. Limitation of Liability
find.fit is a marketplace platform that connects coaches and consumers. We do not employ coaches, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcomes of coaching services. Coaches are independent contractors responsible for their own services.
While we verify coach credentials, we do not guarantee the accuracy of all information provided by coaches or consumers. Users engage with each other at their own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, find.fit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless find.fit, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another party.
16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or WhatsApp at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
